What is a digital pen?

A digital pen is a data capture tool which looks and is used like a traditional pen. Under the skin the digital pen hosts technology capable of transmitting your handwriting or drawings into a digital format ready to send via the Internet.

The simplicity and speed of the process means there are massive time and cost savings to be made using the digital pen.

How does a digital pen work?

The digital pen works by using a tiny camera at the nib of the pen, from this your notes and drawings are captured. The pen works with normal office paper overprinted with a special dot pattern. The pattern allows the information to be recorded on the pen.

To transmit the stored information simply tick the box on the paper and ‘dock the digital pen’ in the holder provided. Alternatively you can send via a mobile phone to upload your information to a PC or straight into your organisation’s back office systems.
