Wholesale line rental (WLR)

We offer four options.  The type of line you need will depend on how many simultaneous telephone calls you expect to make.

Line Description Usage
Analogue Line (PSTN) Exactly the same as a typical residential telephone line.  It's a basic requirement if you want to have broadband delivered to your premises. Limited to one call at a time and perfect for a fax machine or home-worker.
ISDN2 ISDN brings your telephone line into the digital age with a more reliable, better quality telephone service.

A single ISDN2 service comes with two channels, allowing you to have two telephone conversations at the same time.		 If you need more than two channels of voice you can upgrade to four, six or eight channels.
ISDN30 Very similar to ISDN2 but with the ability to go all the way to thirty voice channels. Designed for companies with a higher demand for inbound and outbound calls.
SIP Sometimes called SIP Trunks, this modern Voice Over IP alternative to ISDN offers huge savings.  

Outbound calls (Carrier Pre Select – CPS)

It’s now easier than ever to get the right price for your voice calls. Our Carrier Pre-Select (CPS) service let you transfer your calls to Intercity and make noticeable cost savings – without interrupting your day-to-day phone service.

Before transferring your calls we perform a free 'call charge analysis' to show you what you would save if you joined Intercity. Your dedicated Account Manager would provide regular account reviews to ensure you're paying the right price for your business calls.
